How to set up a Festool tools
Another great company that produces plunge saws is Festool.
This company manufactures quality equipment that is just as easy to operate as
the Doubletracks system. To set up your Festool Track saw you need to fit the
tool securely on the guide rail. When you put your equipment on the rails you
notice that there is some play going on between the machine and the track.
Tighten the cams to the base plate to tighten the fit until
no play is made. Make sure you do not overload the cams because while you do
not want any play between the saw and the track, you want it to flow smoothly
with no resistance. Once you've achieved the right fit, the next step is to
trim the splinter guard.
This strip is designed to cross the edge of the guide rail
but once you have secured the track to the truck, simply run the side of the
rails to cut off th-e excess of the splinter guard. When this happens, simply
clip the splinter guard into the machine and you're ready to tackle different
types of woodwork.
